Brittany Waitt
Employee/Resident Clinician
Brittany (she/her) is passionate about supporting children, and believes all behavior is a form of communication. While she didn’t initially set out to work with children in her master’s program, her experiences soon led her to fall in love with their curiosity and creativity. This newfound passion inspired her to pursue additional training outside her program and take on the role of resident clinician with Circle City Play Therapy.
Brittany’s approach to play therapy is grounded in empathy, patience, friendship, and a genuine love for watching kids find their authentic selves. While she has experience working with all ages, she has found an interest in working with littles because of their curiosity, creativity, and imagination. Although she has experience working with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, peer-relationships, family-conflict, ADHD, and grief, she has a distinct passion for working with adoptees, neurodivergent youth, and athletes. Brittany completed her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marian University in 2024.
She enjoys being creative by drawing, painting, interior design, and exploring vast worlds through reading. One can often find her doodling in notes or exploring an aisle of a local bookstore. Brittany identifies as Neurodiverse and a transracial adoptee, believing there shouldn’t have been a box to begin with and it creates space for lifelong learning!
